Getting BX back on the road

Post by Neil »

Hi there,

I have just had an accident in my white 1988 16 RE. I've had it for exactly a decade, so don't want it to be the end of the road.

I would be grateful if anyone could assist with the following. Obviously I don't expect anything for free and would expect to collect:

The passenger side front wing + the plastic protective piece underneath.

The front bumper.

Both indicator lights.

Thank you.

Best wishes from Neil

Sorry to hear about that. There used to be a chap called Leroy (Eldridge motors?) in SE London who I think was jacking it all in, but someone might have a number for him. He might still have the parts you need. Worth a check.

Sorry to hear about your "bump", Neil.

I'm not sure if it may be any use to you, but I believe one of our members, Andy (Artic Steel) is currently disposing of a couple of BXs....one of which (IIRC) is white!
Might be worth dropping him a PM?

I have a few used indicators, although condition may be a little "iffy"!

Good luck with your repairs!

Wiper motor arrived today :D . Many thanks to Andrew (Artic Steel) for his efforts in securing the motor and posting it out. A genuine guy.

All I have to do now is fit it. After my fog light experince I am now doubting the wiring as much as the old motor!
