A good polish would make a difference.

You're your own worse enemy, Tim! But seriously, I can't help thinking that two hours work might earn this seller about £100 or more! (Good rate of return, that!)

(Why are these cheapies always at the wrong end of the country? )

Me too mate! It looks wayyyyyy better than that old "workhorse" 1.6 that I looked at in Skipton last year! I'm keeping a VERY close eye on the Bay of E, to see how things progress.

These days with petrol 50p a litre less than DERV, if you do low-ish mileage then the edonomical difference isn't so much of an issue, I guess.

Erm, do you mean 12p/l less, up North i pay £130.9 & petrol was £118.9

Diesel still rules to be honest, even if you could get 40mpg, its still cheaper to run a diesel doing 50mpg. Thats still over 20% better, whilst petrol is around 10% cheaper, so no saving at all.

Road tax on the 1400 is cheaper, but you would have to be doing quite low mileage for the difference in mpg not to eat into that saving.

I remain unconvinced that petrol is cheaper than diesel, unless you are talking about the Honda Insight which does 80mpg & is rtf free.

I've always had a soft spot for another 1360cc petrol BX.
I'm watching petrol prices v derv carefully, because (as Mulley says) the price of petrol up here (oop norf!) has actually started FALLING over the past few days, but derv is staying the same.
As much as I'd absolutely LOVE to own and run a 16v BX on a daily basis, it just doesn't make economic sense for me at the moment, as I'm still not yet back working again.

If petrol continues to fall in price, and the gap between petrol and deisel widens, it MAY become almost as cheap to run a smallish petrol-engined BX, as my 17TD.

Apart from all that.......I just feel so sorry for a red BX which has been a tad neglected (in a Meguaire's kind of manly way!)

Every time!!!

Too much vin rouge Mountainman? I've had a couple tonight too.

Had another one die on me today. Filthy rich ( like millions,) 97 years old and died in my arms.

It's not the first time that's happened to me, chest exploded and everything came out the mouth, and over me. Sh*t I hate that! You never get used to it.

Soory people, like I say, had a couple tonight.

That's too much vin rouge Phillip.

Guess my eyes are focussing right. Tomorrow I'll be a little more sober, and not working.
