Headrests?

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Anyone got a spare set of charcoal grey (GTI interior stylee) headrests? Will pay for P&P plus a fiver each. Must be good condition without 20 year's worth of dandruff embedded in them (only joking  )...

I actually might have a pair... Remember seeing two pairs of BX headrests in the garage, one pair of Le Mans 16v ones, and another pair of Black or grey ones.

I'll dig 'em out tomorrow and see what the deal is.

Got the message Roy. (unfortunately I want dark grey not black, but a full set of black fornt and rear are desirable - I would've nabbed them for my TXD estate GRX!)

PM sent.

Here you go:

It's the one on the left... I put it next to one out of mine for effect 8)

I have a pair of these, at the minute with badly cut down front bases, but I can put a set of unmolested front bases on if required? I guess it depends on their intended use :?:

Are these the right sort?

Yes, the right sort. And they're for the rear so short stems is ok so long as the base on the rests themselves is ok.

Will you be at Stratford this weekend? Just thinking it might save you the money for postage...

I was going to suggest just leave the black ones in the rear window for a couple of weeks, they'll soon be grey coloured  but you've already found some & the sun doesnt shine in this country anymore :x

Don't apologise... I'd forgotten about half the crap in the garage, was good to go through it all again, and I found a BX Postert front bumper!

Well done for finding any BX in a scrap yard, let alone one with the right interior trim! I got my rears from a TXD... Went back the next day with tools to grab some other bits, and it had been cubed

Well, Edwards is good: There're two BX estates, and three saloons (including a TZD Turbo in green) plus an 'E' reg 16v in mid blue (not a colour I've seen a 16v in before)... And a shed loads of BX bits.

There's a Dyane there too!

Oooh, a 16v! Does it still have it's skirts, or is that one not for breaking?

I think it's for breaking... and the car's complete (I think) except for the engine.

Mind you on my brief trip today I didn't actually see it!

Best call them (see specialists).

Cool, I'll give 'em a ring then... They are about 100 miles away from me, so not too bad. Could probably have the drivers door of that Meteor while I'm there too (If it's any good that is).

I hope they still have it... I'm struggling to find anyone breaking a 16v (Which is a good thing I suppose)
