Odd guy this, he has a BX14something or other which had the black TZD style interior, but he didn't like it
Can understand this - the TZD interior itself is a bit gloomy overall, not to mention having the durable but oh-so-tightly bolstered and "lumbar bumpy" GTi-style seats. Each to their own, though.
The Brown interior on Heuliez's BX Buffalo concept or special edition was brilliant! The Doc thought I was mad when I picked up some light tan dash bits from a pile in his barn - if anyone has a use for these (heater/ventilation knobs, radio cover, sunroof switch cover) then PM me.
Is that "dog-blanket material" the herringbone multi-coloured material that used to be on "R"-spec cars before they became "G"'s? To my mind, that's tweed too, just a little different from the heavier-weave tweedy material that replaced it on the "G"-spec cars (which to my mind is a close relative of standard CX seat material).
Hope the interior he replaced wasn't one from the old 14 Preview which Citroen used to run out the old GTi/DTR interior in blue/grey/black with the final variation on the chevron seat/door-card trim and very dark blue velour headrests. Lovely interior - but that was the only 14 I know that originally was fitted with anything approaching a TZD-style interior, unless this car had a previous interior transplant.
Don't think I've got any in the brown multicoloured herringbone material, but I'll take a look - if it is this kind that's required.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.
