Surprise, surprise

Post by stuart_hedges »

I shut my glovebox this morning and it broke. Both hinges, snapped clean off. I've never heard of that happening on a BX before

I don't suppose anyone's got a decent black glovebox knocking about, have they?

I think I have a huge stock of those...next to the pile of rear headrests and behind my stash of mint unused tailblazers.

Seriously though - have you thought of a main stealer? Surely they can't charge that much for a piece of plastic and at least then it hasn't been deteriorating in the sun for years.

I have a tube of superglue and slightly shaky hands. This could be fun

Thanks Gary for looking - I think what happened was as you say, my phone charger getting trapped in the gap between door and dash. I know how fragile the thing is and I'm normally really careful but this morning I was running late on my way to a new job and etc etc :(

A bargain £170.23, but sadly listed as no longer available. Alternatively, one could fit the complete glovebox assy, available for a mere £419.55...

I seem to remember doing a good job in the past with araldite, I hope you managed to keep hold of the snapped off bit ;-)

I was actually being serious...no I wasn't drunk at the time! But I've just looked on the Citroen Serice website, and it's marked NFP which I think means No Further Production.

Someone must have a spare? Good luck with it (and in your new job!)

I'll dig you one out Stu.
Although delivery wont be as easy as it was a couple of weeks back!

You really should have broken it whilst in Brizzle mate!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
