They do tend to keep their prices as they are not seen as a cheap runaround and are regularly serviced.......then again, the garages/repair shops don't look at them as though they are a 'spaceship' with a sharp intake of breath either. There are lots in the area near my 'ruin' and most are in very good condition.
Last visit I saw a couple of very nice CX's as well......the little garagiste where I take mine for pre-CT has a mint 404 Pug, similar condition Simca 1100 and a concours Traction Avant....his 'toys' as he calls them.....these sit longside the huge tractors and stuff that he works on daily.

The answer to way2go's question appears to be yes - there is another one on www.leboncoin.fr in the Cher region for the same price - ideal for hunter or farmer it says (amongst other things).
Its a job to find a reasonable condition / continent - as in does not leak all over the place 2nd hand car here at under 1000 euros - but the new car market is not distorted by the vast number of company cars as it is in the UK, and the french apparently tend to keep their cars for about 8 years before changing them. Our neighbours consider the BX I bought on EBay for £155 to be very smart - although one did say I ought to be locked up for robbing the seller!
