Good plan, particularly as 'one day' insurance policies are now available and cheap.

I am sure that with a new battery and the diesel bled through it will start straight up, but as to whether any hydraulic pipes will burst on the way home is another matter...

im trying to talk myself out of this car!
im realy suprised no one here has snapped it up! if you want a mk1, with good economy,this is a must buy!!
if i buy it,its just to save it from an uncertain future,id proberly mot it in the new year and sell it on,i don't need 2 mk1 diesels!
some one step in and have it! don't think you're be disapointed!

If you want to buy this one, I'll buy your left-hooker off you. Always quite fancied having a LHD car in the UK, just for the confusion factor on other people's faces.
