BX DTR Turbo Diesel for sale - in need of loving home

Post by vickyscot »

Our much loved car has been in the family since first registration 1989(Grandfather to mum to us), but we now reluctantly have to part with it :( as buying a newer car for business purposes and although we'd like to keep the Citroen for runaround we now live in France and it'll cost too much to drive both cars out.

The car has had various bits and bobs done over the last few years, and runs very well, extremely reliable (has lived in the Alps for the last few winters and starts even in -15degreesC). MOT runs out May '09, tax runs out end of this month. 4 new tyres and new handbrake cable May'08, new battery and glow plugs March'08. Hose for turbo was replaced 2yrs ago and as I say various other bits, we have a big file with all bills/MOT certs etc.

118,000 miles on clock but we think she still has a long way to go!
We (and the car!) are currently in Richmond/Kew, but would like to sell soon as need space for new car. We're hoping someone will pay £400 for it, but all offers considered and if you'd like to see the car/further details please email me.

Vicky if there is any chance of some photos (email them to me if you are struggling to post) that would help the car find a new home Im sure.

Is it a saloon or an estate?

Either way it sounds a tempting BXagon Challenge (q.v.) car....

Place your piccies onto photobucket. Below each of your pictures you'll see 4 lines of text. Click on IMG code and it'll automaticaly copy the code. Then, just paste what's copied into the 'reply' window.... :P

Strange isn't it? I've always prefered the DTR interior to the TZD but that colour has to be my least favourite of all BX colours, even including the hearing aid ivory

Had it been a red one  down the M1 I'd be :)

Mint looking front hinges and A post (a common rust spot).

Shame I don't need another...

It may help it to sell if you take a photo of the area inside the rear door shut, where the wheelarch meets the sill. That is another rust spot, so if yours is equally good there it should attract more interest. Good luck!
