I can't help thinking this would look rediculously cool in a BX if I believed it would fit! Probably better in a series 1 mind but still........very CX!
That is stylin! Go for it Bandit. The fixings could be a bit mysterious - I think they were like little studs that were actually glued onto the window.. that's the system that I've see anyway ( not too far from here). There are other styles though..

On a mk1 it seems to look ok, but on a mk2 it would look very strange...

IMO it drags the BX design backwards. The CX and GS used them, but the BX didn't and although a few didn't most had the rear blinds... (OK I know the CX did too!).
Basically it's an early Eighties 'styling' add-on and for that reason is legit for an early BX... but even by 1986 they were out-of-fashion...
And for that reason, unless you have an '83-'86 BX, walk away.
Rather pointless really and a dirty looking offering anyway. Even if you clean it up it's much easier to wash the rear screen than this and we don't suffer from sun-glare from the back anyway when we're driving.
Actually I thought the thing fitted on the inside! Why did I think that??? Good piccy Todd, that BX 'just' possibly gets away with it but as others have said it won't look right on a mk 2. I love the CX ones and never seen a GS one, but it does suit the CX certainly.
Given what I assume is a rare item it's a fair price. Go for it Tim, but it looks like you may have to drill holes/butcher the boot lid a bit????

Just keep it for the shows you attend, it can sit on the back seat, arrive at destination, stick it on the back with some blue tac, job done

I wonder what you'd fetch?
Alot less than it probably, I cant give myself away these days!
Anyway good thinking Phil, we do have super strong fixative at work that I used to glue the repair panels on the 16v which is aircraft grade so could always use that.

Well if it's anything like the stuff they've used to glue those lower rear wing finishers on with then it wont come off at all!
As an alternative, you could look out for another boot lid and screw things into that for the louvre and keep the original boot lid safe somewhere.
