4x4 estate in West Wales

Post by roughbert »

In my search for a diesel Break I have managed to turn up a 4x4 petrol one, stored for 3 years. Dunno about posting the owner's details here but no doubt we could work something out. STILL LOOKING for that diesel - please check your sheds in case you missed one!

Roughbert if you are looking for a bx to run on avery small budget, a petrol 4x4 is not a good idea, as it would be thirsty and hellishly expensive to fix WHEN the 4x4 system goes wrong. a TZD Turbo estate is probably the best bet.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

If you are thinking of buying it, with the exception of all the usual faults, carefully check the exhaust & the transmission, if any of them are showing neglect, be prepared to have a wallet thats capable of sorting it out. So apart from those negatives, go for it :D

Re-reading the post I think Roughbert isn't considering buying it - he's after a diesel. It seems he 'came across it' in his search.

Well, I've always fancied a 4x4 BX...ever since my Dad brought home a brochure in, I think, 1991.

Whether I have the time and money for another project is a different matter. But, looking on the bright side I can always sleep in the van if she kicks me out!

Lampeter...that's about 2 hours from me. Hmmm. Bit far just to 'accidentally' happen to see it. I'm tempted but must try and resist!

The force is strong in this one!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Roughbert,

If you look at one of your other posts with the TXS advert, it says somewhere on the ad about too many BXs in stock and mentions a couple of TZDs. Maybe worth en enquiry incase one is an estate.

On a similar note, my best mates wifes Grandfather has a BX Estate (definitely a D but not sure if turbo or n/a). I know it's been looked after very well. It 'may' be for sale or you may have to wait till he pops his clogs. I'll enquire if you're interested.

Thx Bandit.
I am what they call a serious buyer - all I need is a serious seller, interested in a trifling sum of money. If your aged relative meets these strict criteria I will be delighted to pursue the matter.
