Broken trip meter

when the trip meter was working it used to be a bit of a fiddle to reset it

somtimes it would zero first press but most of the time i had to jiggle the button about until one day when i jabbed at it (not in a good mode that day)

now it reads around 750 miles al the time

have i broken it for good or is it fixable ?

I've had a bust trip before.

On examining it once out of the pod, you could clearly see that the plastic gears were mashed & thats why the damn thing was stuck & wouldnt turn over.

The only solution is to get a replacement speedo (you can swap the mileomotor drums over so that the car retains its original mileage), worked a treat on mine.
