Very reluctantly I have to sell my BX estate. She is in dark blue with a grey velour interior. As you may have read on the forum I have spent the last few months sorting out a 4X4 estate that I obtained froma fellow CCC member earlier in the year.
I have spent far too much time, effort and money on the car since it was going to go to a family member. He no longer needs the car so very reluctantly she has to go to a new home. I have really enjoyed driving the car over the last couple of months but cannot justify having two 'fun' cars plus a kit car and a company car.
She is now in excellent running order with 7 month MoT and 1 months tax remaining. The car comes with a FULL history including the original bill of sale from 1990. She has done 76K miles and drives very nicely. The 4X4 system works perfectly and the clutch is fine.

Proper rarity there Rob, wish I could afford it mate. Good luck with the sale, seems very senisbly priced for an uber rare car (rarest type of BX in Britain?) and hope it finds a good home as it deserves one.

The car is currently just advertised here and on the Citroen Car Club site. I would far rather she went to someone who would value her for what is rather than just a cheap car to be junked when the MoT runs out
If I can't sell her to an enthusiaist in the next couple of weeks then it will probably be an Ebay job but that is a last resort for something a rare and as specialised as this. The thing that really grates is that she is a genuinely nice car and I have become rather attached to her despite the rather painful road we have had to travel to get her up and running reliably!

eBay's a gamble but a sensible reserve should safeguard against some cheapskate pinhead winning the listing. There are also other BX fans out there who don't know about this forum or the CCC so you should hopefully find a good home for it.
I do want it, but 2 reasons prevent me expressing an interest.
Firstly lack of cash (and time!), and secondly it sounds like too good a car to do what I plan to do...
What I am after is a 4x4 estate. ideally with a knackered transfer box (and perhaps engine). That way I get it for next to nothing. Then fit a 16v angine and tranfer box from a Peugeot Mi16x4.
