Sidelamp bulb holders

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone had a pair of sidelamp bulb holders for a 1989 16RE? Both mine have disintegrated and the MOT is looming...

What kind are they neil, are they the push in ones or ones that screw in?

Sorry neil the ones I have are the earlier type which push in, surely someone must have some?

Surely the push type are what Neil is looking for? My reading of his post is that he requires push and twist to retain, not the screw type.

There are two different types, the earlier (Mk1 and some MK2s) just push into the back of the lamp on a taper, the later type have a 2 small lugs that as you say you screw into place like a normal bulb. They are interchangeable but it would mean changing the headlamps or you could use some kind of adhesive at a push. The ones I have are from when I fitted new lamps to the MK1.

Is it worth asking you local citroen dealer mate as they can supply the lamps so maybe worth a go? Even they cant ask too much for two small bulb holders!

If they want too much, i can have a check in my store to see if i have some spares, postage might cost almost as much as what citroen want, so give them a try 1st & if not, PM me & i'll double check.
