Yes.

Sorry, I couldn't resist that - I am still feeling very smug as I have just bought it! :oops:
Seriously though, you will be lucky to find one, I was on the lookout for a couple of years and all the ones I found needed work, and usually didn't come with the right door cards. Then Kitch came along and needed to raise some cash...

It should be a lot easier to find a decent set of GTi alloy wheels though. :)

Well, if we're being smug, I have probably the only leather proper 16v front seats in existence;

But I do, in fact, have some phase 1 16v alloys for sale, in very very good condition. These are the grey Speedline ones, 6" wide. Interested?

Ahh, but you don't even have carpets! I mean how basic is that? :wink:

They do look the biz though - more lateral support round corners which is one of the main complaints apparently about the standard BX leather seats.

I wondered where those seats ended up! They were on ebay sevral years ago for £50. I didn't go for them but now wish I had. They were retrimmed by a guy with an AX GT, and went through a couple more IIRC before ending up in my old white GTI after someone bought it off me.
The car then got written off and I asked him to sell them to me when he was done with them. He said yes....and hasn't by the look of it :(

I only didn't buy them before cos of the white piping, but I'm sure that could be dyed.

You could always consider the immaculate (apparently) Le Mans (I assume) interior from the 16v that Kitch is breaking (see 'breaking bx 16v in nearly mint condition'). OK it's not leather, but... still nice.

And DLM has some Silver alloys that he was going to sell to me but I've got some graphite ones sorted now. PM me and I can give you his e-mail address.

The Le Mans interior is more comfortable than leather (seeing as I've had both!) and it's better finished, but leather is cooler (not literally....it's a nightmare come freeze or sun!)

All depends what you want. I can get some pics of it for you if you're interested. All thats left to be removed are the doorcards.

Kitch - yes, I got them from a guy in Glasgow with a couple of AXs. He did say that he was meant to be selling them to someone on the BX forum and I thought it might be you, but by this time I was in Glasgow with the money so I didn't feel it would be right to walk away at that point! :lol:

Frugg - I can probably get you some pics in a couple of weeks, the car lives at my parents' place. The wheels are like the 8v GTi ones, but 6" wide (proper 16v innit) rather than 5 (or is it 5.5?)... They will fit in the arches with no clearance problems though.

Thanks for the response. The le mans interior is nice but i would rather have a leather - i will keep a look out.

djoptix - Pictures would be nice. Do you know of the condition as they will be going onto a 1 lady owner 33,000 miles 8v gti and the car is lovely so they have got to be nice. What colour are they and what condition are they in?

Thanks
