I didn't actually think they really existed! Just looking at it frightens me - the muscle car at rest, all that latent thrust! =P~

I expect it's stopped to try and find some more energy after coming second in a race with a nailed down, three legged, asthmatic blind tortoise!

Looks like it is still trying to get hydraulic pressure up....

Did they really make a BX11?

Yes, they did make one. I've seen a couple in Europe.

Better off in the Low Countries one may think (where there are no hills :D ), but no, sold in Med places like Greece etc.

Yep.

1124cc suitcase engine. Greek market for sure, but may have been available for some other markets too.

The "red herring" that comes out every now and then is the BX10 with a 954cc suitcase engine. That one didn't exist.

^^I love that^^ being a hater of large engines that is just wonderfully ridiculous!

There was also a fabled BX15 - I know no more of it or what it was fitted with but it might have been one of the 'tax dodging' versions of the 'Evasion' or 'Enterprise' commercial type

The BX 11 probably wasnt that much slower than a 1.7D as they wold both be about 60bhp I would imagine, the 1124 went well in the 104SR I had but as we all know it sounded awful, I think the BX 15 was a detuned 1.6 from memory a bit like a 16RE instead of a 16RS/TRS.

Cant remember saying it was slow, but with the BHP output being around the same and the petrol engine being made of alloy it would be lighter so may be a wee bit quicker? The 14E Leader MK1 I had qas surprisngly sprightly!
