BX Ambulances etc.

Post by toddao »

On French Ebay there's two different ambulance brochures available at the moment. I didn't know there was a Mk.1 - I've seen one of the later Heuliez ones but not one from these 'Petit' people - might have to go to Spain to find one of those!

Also, while I was looking, saw this BX stamp!

And this body kit from 'Citroen competitions' made by 'Politechnic' from 1983 with a 'Kit Motor SODEMO 130cv' - Sodem'all.. never heard of them! Or seen that kit. It's just the photo that's for sale by the way..

Buy ambulance. Drive ambulance to stratford. Get pissed. Die. Use ambulance to live again to die another day. Repeat ad finitum!

That was my plan with one evil twist.. I was going to go to Spain and lie there ailing in the road til a BX ambulance came along ( allowing for a timewarp etc.). Then after pretending to be dead, suddenly spring up and say : I'm not dead really! Steer this Ship to Stratford at once. Then go in the back and beast out on the contents of the drug cabinet and relax on the stretcher ( well, the brochure says its comfortable) til we arrive in Shakespeare country. See you there Bandit! 8)

I did wonder if you'd already started tbh
That ambulance would be ideal for me. I could turn up at home in it and my missus would put me in the back and send me to the hoipstal to have my crown jewels re-attached!

My sisters were in a club once, but they got kicked out for underage drinking.

Bandit: They're firmly attached now (my bollocks, not my sisters) but wouldn't be if I came home in that BX ambulance.

I realised when I wrote that I could have phrased it better

OK try again: Does anyone know of a BX ambulance in the hands of a fellow BX enthusiast here or on the continent?

I just want to say, before anyone gets the wrong idea, ( and I know we've got some younger members who look up to the seasoned old BXers for moral guidance) that I made that story up - it's not true and that I don't advocate 'beasting on the contents of the drug cabinet' ( especially that the most interesting thing that ambulances have - according to my research - is Ketamine which makes you feel like a pet dog coming round from anaesthetic..) But if Phil does manage to track down a fellow enthusiast with a BX ambulance that they can PM me if they've got any potentially harmful drugs left over from its working days and I'll dispose of them correctly.

But yet given that the number of people taking K recreationally is spiralling, it would seem many people *want* to feel like Fido coming round from having his family jewels lopped off...
