Is this the most expensive BX'ccessoire?

Post by toddao »

Everytime one of these comes up on Ebay I cannot believe what it goes for - I'm talking about the lesser spotted middle box. This has to be the world record I reckon. Does anyone else have one of these? Need to free up some capital? Worth more than some entire cars! :D

Plain daft. After all it isn't particularly well-designed. You lose as much as you gain IMO.

Which actually suits the car better now I have valver seats again, as it's covered in the same fabric and the seats themselves look kinda boxy.

I did pay way too much money for it

But it's actually handy as you like, you can put all sorts in it, instead of letting it rattle around in the glovebox. Only downsides are you can't get to the rear window switches without lifting it up....oh no!

My daughter stated the other evening "Dad!, you're OBSESSED with leather...."

Guilty as charged m'lud. All my cars have leather, armchairs in the house are and so is my office chair at work!!!

So yes, I guess I am...

Must get cold in the Xantia Jim whilst you're waiting for the RAC?

Someone should start re-manafacturing those boxes, reckon you'd make a fortune if they were any good.

Everyone says that Billy, about the cold seats, not the RAC bit I hasten to add. Anyway, you're wrong  I'm with Brittannia Rescue

I must have a numb arse or something because even at -10 I've never noticed a problem with cold leather seats - or perhaps it's because I always wear jeans :?

Anyway for passengers who may suffer froid derrier I'm able to turn on the seat heaters

Heated seats are ace aren't they? Have them in my 190E and the back warm up as well as the base, bloody brilliant on cold days.

Back in the day we used to have these on the T5 Volvos we used for instruction and the trick was to turn them on without the other passenger / driver noticing....and then wait to see how long it took them to realise.....lol
