I'm sure if I asked dad nicely I could have a go in a straight 6 TD Merc auto thing, although I dont really have any inclination to drive it TBH.
On the whole I'd rather have a manual, although the XM auto TD I had was a lovely thing to drive, and I prefered that to the manual XM..
I love driving dads BX auto, thats just sublime..
But of course the best auto of EVAH would be this:

Mated to this:

Now if I could fit that lot in to this:

then that would be perfect!
But since that engine / box combo weighs substantially more than a BX then that would require some thought!

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

There's a Cli(t)o automatic popped up on eBay locally Marty if you want me to have a shufty at it? Supposedly low miles and does look tidy...M wrote:Been outbid on the Pug - so thats that problem solved. Will phone them later and see if they can emai me some pictures.
I dont mind slushmatics, but am buying one out of nessessity rather than abject desire. I once owned a 17TGD N/A dizzler, so am no stranger to life in the sedate lane.

..although it's a private listing so something is obviously amiss (probably schill bidding) and the suggested repair for the sunroof leak is f*cking hilarious!

hhmm, maybe the jerries are on to something here. Thats nearly as good as my puny 17TD!
And I guess the Merc is twice as heavy.
Ta for the offer mate, but I'm not posh enough to drive a Merc!

Hi posh has nothing to do with it mate, yes that 165 miles was 90 miles of town work so not that bad I guess. 174 bhp at 5000 and 244 ft.lb. at 1600 rpm. It's a lazy motor which suits me, being a lazy fat old tw*t oh and did I mention it weighs close to 13/4 ton and has a top speed of over 130 mph.
See ya.
Cheers.
Geoff.
