I know. Ill phone them up tomo see what they say
But seeing 5 pieces of used chuing gum in the ashtray. Really put the nial in the coffin. I wasnt borther about the rev counter or the back window. Just the most importan things Like the petrol gage fog lights abs warning light. If its got abs that is. LOL
The engine just needs a good old service. I think good clean up and i think it would be good.
I Did ask him what condition is. He sad its in good condition And hes owned for 13 years.

Regarding fuel I have not a clue what you put in
Put 20 pond in it

Myself I fill up in litres filling by price is confusing.

Although taking the mick here did you mean 20 poinds weight which is around 9kg which is about 9 litres (approx)

Have to agree with others here and you broke the golden rules of buying a used car.

If Medway Citroen are dealers then you have 3 months warranty even if they didn't tell you. Car dealers have to give a minimum 3 months warranty by law althought they don't like people to know this, unfortunately they sometimes try to get round this by saying ''selling on behalf of a customer'' or something similar but if they have had this car for 13 years I don't see how they can use this excscuse! Most of the things you have listed are just annoying little problems that you will be able to fix quite easily but the rattly engine is of concern. Do you know what a BX diesel normally sounds like? Do you live near any other forum members who could give you an opinion on your engine?

No they wouldn't put anything about the warranty on the receipt, is it a proper Medway Citroen receipt or is it just written on a blank piece of paper?

Then you should legally have 3 months warranty but unfortunately they reserve the right to put it right first before you can take it elsewhere to be fixed. You need to get that engine checked first

What if they write "trade sale" or "sold as seen" on the receipt? Does that negate the warranty? I know of dealers who would let their part exchanges go cheap (i.e. no warranty) for a 'trade' sale, even if it wasn't to a member of the motor trade...

I was over taking all right i was. But dosent seem as fast as i what emgine it to be. Or as smooth as i did. Just a tad slow and a tad nosey

Can you please do something about your spelling and grammar? I feel I want to be of some assistance, but when it takes a major effort to work out what you're saying, it makes things very difficult indeed.

If you use Firefox as a web browser (free download if you don't) that has a spell check built into it which will underline any mistakes in red just like Word. Ironically, it doesn't appear to have 'Firefox' in its dictionary!

EDIT - double irony as I noticed a spelling mistake it didn't pick up!

not that i want to upset anyone but i bought one from meadway a while ago was advertised as just needing a windscreen for an mot nothing about the shoddy welding previously done on the boot floor melting the wiring and the black tape taping it up as well as melting the carpet. nothing about the rotten chassis or rotten inner wings nothing about the fact it would run off choke nothing about the suspension not being to sharp nothing about the notchy steering nothing about the useless brakes nothing about the nackered clutch nothing about the heater not working and nothing about the nackered exhaust or rear arm bearings hanging so bad the rear arms themselves were worn away if it wasnt the fact id gone such a distance to get it id have taken it back and driven it through the workshop door.

admitedly i only paid 150 for it its not the issues with the car that bothered me its the fact that in his words 'we have looked after this car for years and its a cracker just a shame about the screen' thats what got my back up. but as mentioned in a previous post i was so glad to have another bx i didnt care to much.

i just dont like people who dont tell the truth

Yeah, come on MEDWAY CITROEN. From what I can see these are all minor niggling little faults that can easily be rectified.
They think it's all over, it is now!

If you've been ripped there is no excusing it. HOWEVER...buying blind over the net is asking for trouble I'm afraid as everyone's idea of 'good condition' is different.

Personally I think you should invite Medway on to this forum to give their version of events, two sides to every story and all that.
Vauxhall apologist.
