I looked at the fuses. They seemed to be all right. Could always put new ones in. To make sure i have some new ones. But not the 5 amp ones

Got to say I think I agree with you Doc. It's mostly minor stuff that a weekend with a decent toolbox (and maybe a little advice off here) will see right.
If I was buying a car under these circumstances, I'd want to change the oil and filter as insurance, check the cambelt condition, have a squint at the brake pads, stuff like that.
I suggest this is perhaps getting a bit out of hand. Medway might be a Citroen specialist, but all they've done here is offload an old motor that's been cluttering up their premises at a price a punter was happy to pay. I really wouldn't have expected a full pre-delivery inspection - or even a short service - at that price. And definitely not a valet.
Time spent getting the car sorted now will be time well spent getting to know the beast, and will pay off in the months (and hopefully years) to come if other problems crop up and need sorting.

David Rutherford said - I haven't sold a car in many years, mainly because most people buying sub-£500 cars seem to expect a showroom condition car in perfect mechanical and visual condition for peanuts, whinge on about minor problems, make absurdley low offers, and then bitch and complain and expect money back when it breaks down on the journey home.
David - you'll be glad to hear that the estate we bought off you a couple of years ago is still going strong, and the new owner keeps it really clean and tidy (not me I hasten to add)!

Hello all... Charlotte here!
I haven't been on in a long time and only found out yesterday, on my birthday, about all this.
I'm sad to hear someone bought the batmobile and wasn't happy with it. When Remy and I were still together we used the car quite a bit and it was a dream. It was such a good BX to drive and had a very good, strong engine - it was very fast indeed. Faster than Hugo, actually. Then it got that power steering problem that BXs are prone to, and the tax ran out, and Philippe found himself with LOADS of cars, all needing to be taxed and tested and filled with fuel. So it went off the road for a bit. Just when Remy and I split up Philippe decided to start work on the Batmobile, that was maybe in last September? It had a lot of work done to it, things that would have been a much bigger pain in the arse than the things listed. Those power steering pipes for one, and I think I vaguely remember radius arms, perhaps? I don't know, but lots was done.
And the chewing gum? Well, Philippe always gets the boys to clean the car before a sale, inside and out. I know Remy very well, and I'm 99% sure Philippe asked Remy to use the car for a couple of days to make sure it was working properly, and Remy has this habit of putting his used chewing gum in the ashtray. It drives Philippe absolutely MAD, and I'm sure Remy was suitably told off once Philippe heard about this.
I have no vested interest anymore, I haven't spoken to Philippe or Remy since the breakup, but I won't hear a bad word said against Philippe. Selling cars and getting it right every time is very difficult, he isn't a cowboy or rip-off merchant (he'd be a lot richer if he was) and he probably made very little profit indeed on the sale of the Batmobile. It was his daughter's car for a long time and she gets very attached to her cars, so he was probably most concerned about getting it a good home so she wouldn't be sad.
Love the Batmobile, it's an awesome BX and when those small issues are sorted you'll wish there was a way you could consummate your love for it carnally.

Hugo was such an amazing car, sometimes I would stroke his steering wheel whilst stuck in traffic. There was also my song, "Hugo's such a sexy car".

I think i need a new dashboard. I filled the tank. All the way up and the needle move a bit more. Plus i refitted all new fuses. And i know why the abs light wonte come on. Becase there is no fuse. Tried putting one in. But there are 2 bits of metal stuck in it. Probily from another fuse.
No they where the amp ones i think The ones what say 5 amp 10. 25 . 30 them ones.
The last one was a 25 one for the abs lights. There was some metal in it. Couldnt get it in. Should be able to get the metal out.

I dont think its got abs. Tried it today well my grandad did. And the wheels started skikking. Im not to sure now. I bet the boot has come from another car. But im going to save some money up. And take it to a citroen specailist. Near where i live. See what they say about it. Its just the electrics what let it down. The cars great to drive and body looks good. Get paid in 2 weeks time. The petrol gage as move now. Filled it up near the top. Put 37 pound in it. And its seem to have come free. I wonder if the needle will go down. See what happerns
