BX VOSA Recall

Post by prm »

Been running through some old stored zip drive back-up info and found this. Appears to be the only recall registered on the BX??

Any members had this problem?
You just might be able to obtain a FOC repair. :D

I’ve never owned a MK1, would this fault apply to both MK1 & 2?

I remember this fault or should say cynical as to the motives at the time. Just happened to coincide with promoting the Xantia by the main dealers and guess who got to do the checks.

As I recall I had a BX 19 GT at the time took it in for the check and was offered a free test drive of a Xantia while I waited. Nothing wrong with my car but I think you can see why was cynical. Two of the independants I used to go to were also a bit bemused by this recall.

That's not the only recall the BX had!

There was a manufacturer recall early on - something to do with the fuel system. Apparently it could make the car catch fire unattended

I know this because my BX had a full service history including some dealer-issued documents and one was a recall notice for this. I quite enjoyed reading it at the time!
