Blimey! Thats got to be unique! It's ALWAYS the N/S that fails, largely because sods law dictates it cant ever be the easy one!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

She Passed!

New rack gaitor is on, I take it the ABS system has a relay situated on the fuse board? if so it was hanging out, I pushed it back in, it went click and the ABS lamp went out!

Off to the post office then. So for the first time ever I think all my BXs are roadlegal at the same time!

find all 4 of the sensor plug conectors, unplug 1 at a time and test the resistance across the terminals (sensor part of plug),

the rears are under the rear seat, the fronts are around the inner wing on the engine side and towards the bulk head,

Sorry to hijack, but is it normal for the ABS light to come on for a while sometimes when traveling long distance at speed? It always goes out once the brakes are used.

in a word no,

once the light has gone out after turnning the ignition on it should stay out,

you might have a wire startting to fracture, either were they run over the rear arm pivot point, or a front one were it it fllexed around the strut every time you turn the steering,

Mine came on when I went over a pot hole, then stays on and wont go off until I switch off then on again, it then sometimes stays on or goes off for a minute or two, or last night for a while, I can here a realy click from inside the car when it lamp comes on.

as the cars arm's and leg's are moveing whilst you are driveing along, the wire's are being flexed, if they are fractured they can make and break,

this can cause them to work intermitanly
