I have a fleet policy - not a trader one - but good nonetheless with primo plc - they're in Southend and you want to ask to speak to Freda - she may be able to help.

here's the blurb

Multi-Vehicle Insurance

Have you got lots of cars or a combination of different types of vehicle?

Fed up with having to use several different insurance providers to get the best deal?

Multi-vehicle insurance is just what you are looking for.

Traditional insurers' can only handle a single vehicle per policy, but we have systems that enable you to insure all your wheels at once under a single insurance policy.

So whether you own a number of cars or a mix of different vehicles you could simplify your paperwork and save money too. Savings start when you are insuring at least one more vehicle than there are drivers and are greatest when that difference is really pronounced.

The benefits for multi-vehicle owners are hugely simplified insurance documents, a single renewal date, the ability to add vehicles mid year whilst retaining the original renewal date and a premium that is generally much lower than the competition.

Because we specialise in multi vehicle insurance we are also better able to offer unusual additional policy benefits such as comprehensive cover while driving a vehicle that you do not own, instead of the standard third party only cover.

Some of our clients have several everyday cars. Others may have a collection where no two vehicles have a similar function.

We can usually accommodate all of the following:

Standard cars, modified cars, imported cars, high performance and high value cars, classic cars, motorcycles, classic motorcycles, motorhomes, vans, horseboxes and other unusual types.

Call us free on 05001 05001 for more information.

I've also got a multi-car policy but with Peter D James. Age may still be an issue but worth seeking them out.

I really like the Saxo alloys - are they a straight fit?

This is great... keep the names of insurance companies coming!

And yes, I didn't fit them but the guy I bought it off said they were just swapped. I wasn't sure at first, but think they look pretty cool now, I'll be keeping them on it.

R9UKE wrote:Hi,

Picked up my first BX today, it's a 1992 BX 19 TXD. Tax and test until October and 126,000 miles. £300!! Also - at 18, am I the youngest BX owner?

Really glad to finally have one, absolutely loving driving it.

As you can see, it's got Saxo VTS alloys on it (not quite sure if I'll keep them) and the rear lights have been darkened. Looks pretty mean I think.

Just had 5 new spheres and everything seems OK.

Now a few issues. The brake lights don't come on until the pedal is well depressed - is there a way of adjusting it?
Also the fuel gauge is a bit hit or miss. It will suddenly receive the signal and go to where it's meant to be... but then drop back to empty!

Let me know what you think of it:

That is a nice BX you've got there.
Congrats!

When it comes down to the back lights, I would change them to original ones. They look a bit too darkened.

You must be the youngest BX driver! How come you like a BX? People of your age are looking for VW Golfs etc. if you ask me! Nice to see a young one driving a BX!

Have loads of fun with it!

Thanks! Unfortunately I had my fun and moved on, before it failed the MOT! I love old Citroens, and plan to get another BX in the near future. Either that or a Xantia. So unique and like nothing else on the road.

It went to a Polish BX enthusiast living in Belfast so it's still around, I've seen it once or twice.

And my main car is a 2.0 16v Mégane, which is probably the more typical teenage choice!? :D

I got my first BX when I was 17... and my first 16v when I was 18. Feels a bit weird not being the youngest any more

What a petty it didn't pass MOT. :(
Maybe you have to pay a higher price to get a good one. But sometimes there will be cars out there for ? 500 which are in good shape.

I was 29 when I bought my first BX. When I was a kid, my mom drove a GS and a bit later a GSA Break Special, bright red. I loved it. The weird dash included. My BX is the same color, and same interior color too.

Hopefully you'll find a nice one soon. Are there many of them for sale in the UK?
