Digit on German Ebay

Post by toddao »

I was just reading the Digit thread and now one's turned up. Good photos so you don't need to speak Deutsch to see it's a good one. Interesting to see how much this goes for. ( And no egging me on fellas, I'm weak enough as it is..)

The best BX evah??

Notice its badged as a 19DIGIT not 19GT Digit, no rear spoiler, front fogs or rubbing strips in the bumpers or GT decals.

Who cares though

It's my birthday next week too (any excuse).

I'll try to persuade the wife that it'll be cheaper and quicker to buy this than spend €€€s getting the yellow break legal ( the two year TÜV on the TRD is about to expire and it must be retired now to save it), then run it though the winter feeling like Michael Knight on a dark night with that dash. The seller says very proudly that he never ran it through winter..

Then when it's looking nicely 'worn' next Spring after family and dog duties, fit one of those louvres I've 'inherited' and 'rat it' happily ever aftah.

No officer, I haven't even sniffed a beers since I woz born.

The price will go too high surely..

roughly..

For auction is a rare first series BX, Digit special model. The car has no problems.. had a big inspection at the end of 2009 and brake work costing €500 . The winter tyres have 70-80 % on rusty steels wheels..
He didn't drive it in Winter, only summer - the original alloys have summer tyres with 60-70% wear. The cars hovers/floats and pulls well and stands up on the starter. Tow bar (1300 kg) is fitted but not used.

Interior is good. No electrical problems - no display problems The computer doesn't work so well. The timed function on the wipers doesn't go and radio sounds a bit crap but it's authentic..

Negative: various small rust issues - front wheel arch, passenger door and sill ( pics on request). Typical BX - C-pillar. It does not qualify for a 'green' plate ( emissions category here in D and thus not cheap to tax as it has no Cat)

An everyday and rare classic, not for the showroom.

Written from best intentions and knowledge. Come for a test drive. No guarantee. Cash within two weeks..

825 €-sheets. I thought it would go higher considering it's rarity. Not bad really. I didn't have even a mild crack at it.
I'm definately too hands full with BXs to have gone for the Digit though if a nice turbo diesel estate with working A/C and Euro 2 emissions categorary appeared ( that's a post market Catalyser fitted before 2008) I would budge.. but I don't think one exists.
