For Sale - BX19 TGD Diesel Estate Blue

K reg '92
121k miles
MOT expired July'10
The car has been used as a tow car for a small trailer for racing events mostly in this country but some in Europe. It never missed a beat so is a very trust worthy vehicle.
The engine is sweet being non turbo it will last a long time still. I changed the cam belt at 90K.
It doesnt owe me any money but I am reluctant to scrap the car as i know it still has life in it. I might even run it over the winter if no-one wants it.
Bonnet is a steel one.
Spheres probably need replacing.

200 pounds offers

I have a couple of photos but struggling to work out how to attach them, please help.

Thanks for looking

Thought you might like the ring pic. Got some funny looks in the car park, parked next to a GT3 Porsche. :-)

I was thinking about the mot. Do you know what needs doing? I still haven't driven the car, other than to park it on Saturday. Midday Thursday I'll be putting the 14 to bed for the winter (it actually makes me feel sad, like I was putting my dog in to kennels  ), but the Swampy beast will be unleashed (must get some polish for those wheels  ) and I'm thinking of trying to source some WVO suitable for supplementing the diesel. I've never done this before so perhaps you would give the operation a blessing, vicar?

It flew though the test July 09' and has done only 1000 miles since so i don't see any issues really.
I can get it booked in for a test if there is more interest with a MOT.

Shouldn't need anything doing for the MoT, Steve. It's had a couple of LHM leaks which have been cured by tightening things up, and the last MoT it had no advisories.

WVO can be trickey in winter, and Peter in City Diesel is dead against it. I've run it on SVO before for a while, but for the 5000 miles or so we do every year it wasn't worth it. It does have a Lucas pump, not a Bosch.

Personally I wouldn't even consider WVO on a Lucas pumped car, failure will be imminent.

Bosch pumps love it, I ran mine on 100% sometimes in the winter and it never gave a moments bother.

/\ it'll still kill a Bosch pump, it just takes longer!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Pah, I had months running mine on it* and the engine still lives on somewhere in Sleepy's old BX.
