This was the range over the years in Germany. From the German 'Andre Citroen' club

In pix 2 and 3, is that two different hub caps for the fitment of different tyres that just happen to look the same?

One is for the TRX metric wheel and one is for the standard 14" I think.

Note the lada samara type wheeltrim with CITROEN instead (no 13).
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Interesting.

There's at least one missing: the 'Dish' GTi/TZD type from about 1990 on. And possibly another: the domed Meteor one (similar to the CX Leader) - like No. 13 but without the logo.

No 2 says 'mit Durchbrüchen' which means something like 'with breakthroughs' so perhaps the patterns round the edge are actually holes, though I've never seen ones like that, though they are very early.
The later ones (No.3) had the 'holes' painted ( what I had on my '86 RD) and by the time they reached their final form ( No.6) they couldn't be bothered to paint even these holes or were more likely bean counting.

I'm liking number 14 - is that what you have (or similar) on your yellowmobile?

Yes, No.14 is the 'Swift 2' as worn by 'yellowy' in its summer guise

Image

And 'silvery' ( I don't really call them these names) also in summer form

The only one that doesn't have them is 'reddy' but a cunning plan is afoot as we speak..

Also missing is the same as No. 6 but painted white - dunno what version it was on.

My 16TRS had No. 3 for sure as I recall the rims looking like that, My first BX, a 14E Mk1 had No. 1 - small hubcaps and vented steels though painted silver not grey. I really like the Chamonix ones and No. 4 were the type I wanted for my BX.

No. 5 were fitted to the 'Preview' BX14 in the UK
No. 9 I'm sure were also fitted to the TGD too - actually rather like them.

Yes no.9 were fitted to 2 of my TGD's and are my personal favourite. In fact if anybody knows where I could buy a decent set I would be very interested?

there's actually a Chamonix for sale on Germany Ebay for a hefty price. Because it's numbered '984' out of '1350' made! Look at that plate of authentification.
Something tells me that this was a run-out model with Citroen trying to shift units.
The strange obsession in recent years with 'limited editions' going as far as washing powders and chocolate bars!

Ok, I have number 4 on my car, not to be confused with number 11.

Blimey, that's archeology for you, digging that thread up!

It's good for reminding me that I do follow through on some ideas!

'Reddy' got 'Swifts' too.

( I just added the wheel pic to the 'brochures' area in the blog section so we know where it is)
