BX Cold turkey is no fun

Post by Dollywobbler »

While I'm glad the Green Tiger has moved on, especially as she's hard at work getting her new owner out of a car-less bind, I must admit to missing having a car that was so good at doing so much.

The wonderful mix of ride comfort and excellent handling, the sheer practicality and 50mpg are hard to say goodbye to.

So, I think I'm going to have to get another one. I've had two TGD NAs and a 16v, as it's fun to sample the extremes. Planning on slamming straight into the middle ground now and quite fancy a turbo diesel. A TZD would obviously be nice, but I'm not actually that fussed about the trim level. I've already spotted a TGD Turbo for sale in Sheffield...

I like the estate, but a hatchback is also good. In fact, it might even be preferable as I didn't half find myself missing both the sunroof and the map reading lights with the Green Tiger.

That's funny Ian. I was actually going to suggest something along those lines as you were still lingering in the wings!

How about the Scimitar then?

Scimitar's ok, but it's no BX. It has none of this suspension stuff, and the steering is really heavy!

I miss not having a sunroof, but I have a map reading light on mine. Do not all estate have one then?

The TXD doesn't either.

Great news Ian, I'll be good to have you back in the fold. ^^bx>

Mine have all had the central one which tilts to either side, but to be fair it's not actually much good for map-reading...
I think some hatchbacks had an extra pair of round lights.

One of my estates has a sunroof though! Just a tilt/take out though, not a proper sliding one. Better than nothing though and amazingly doesn't leak.
