Well, the return plastic in my security valve has gone and the car pissed all the inside of the valve and all the LHM.
Is it normal for this component to let go?

its usualy the short length of conecting rubber pipe that perrish's and splits,
and the usual repair if there is enough length is to cut it back a bit then push it back on,
this can also fix it if the rubber cant grip the plastic spout of the safty valve,
