No.. Peugeot and Citroen share engines (And sell them to some other companies) but Renault have their own range of engines.

It's a french designation. It stands for "Riche" as TR is "Tres Rich"
Don't read too much into that though... the "L" on the back of a 1980's ford or vauxhaul stands for "luxury" and "GL" for "Grand Luxury" although we all know that "L" means "crap" and "GL" means "tolerable"
Thanks for the offer David, but have only recently got it, haven't even got it on the road yet as I'm waiting for the end of the month to get the tax - Don't wanna lose a whole month, just for the sake of a few days.
Touch wood, so far everything is cushty and sweet, everything works.
Hope the old girl can give you many more years motoring as she has done me proud, bought her after getting stitched up with a 405 turbo diesel - same engine, but for some reason it seemed alot smoother in the Citroen.
Anyway, I'm rambling - good luck with the Xantia Ken.

Been to scrappies this afternoon and got a front bumper the right colour, the correct radio (if it works) and an almost brand new alternator belt adjuster pulley, all for £15
Hoping to get back later this week as the scrapper still had one good rear arm on it and the anti-sink valve and sphere, not to mention the anti-roll bar links. Bad news was the LHM pump had gone
Oddly enough he's still got one BX TXD turbo in there.
Went down to the Xantia today to check if it's OK and took the radio that I picked up off the scrapyard floor yesterday with me. Plugged it all in and switched on, nothing checked the fuse in the car, blown new fuse, radio lights up and says CODE in the display, well at least all I have to do is get it recoded.
On taking it out I noticed a 4 fig pencil number on the back so I tried it and
WE HAVE MUSIC
Wish I'd had it on Saturday, even I got pi55ed off singing all the way home
Another very cold and miserable afternoon, fitted new rear arm bearings on the Xantia this afternoon.
The offside one was a pig, every possible thing that could go wrong, did do. Typical Xantia me thinks. However the nearside one went like a dream, the bearings on this side weren't too bad and would probably have lasted at least another year.
While the arms were out, took the opportunity to free off the height corrector mechanism, which although not completely seized, the sprung mechanism was holding off the rest off the linkage.
The car now rides superb and no longer sits down as soon as the engine is switched off. Also fitted the new rear brake discs. Next job is to find a suitable pump.
Yuo are displaying more enthusiasm than me there Ken, I spent an hour making copper fuel lines and fitting them yesterday, this morning was so cold and grey I played computers instead

Fitted "new" LHM pump today, changed oil and new secondhand front bumper.
It's suprising how much damage had been caused by that little tup on the front. Both fans were jammed back and lots of bits of cracked plastic however it's now all back together and just needs a new front number plate which I'm picking up in the morning and an anti-roll bar link fitting, then it's MOT time.
