The plan is to do the complete transplant in one go
It's a major undertaking no mistake, to get two engines out and one refitted in the same day, but I've done it once before and drove the car 60miles home.
With at least three of us it should be OK.
They think it's all over, it is now!

Well motherinlaw has helped with the cash needed to get the few bits and bobs and the fuel money to get over.
I can cope with a bit of rain too thats all it ever does in Lincoln.

I reckon by Saturday tea time, you'll know just how "easy" it is to transplant BX power units.

... Have checks been made that the car can still be insured after this engine transplant is made? fitting a 1.7D into a car where a 1.9D came out will be classified as a modificaion (despite it being a downgrade) and some insurers will not touch it.
Shame really, as I have a 1.9D in a BX here at the moment, which is surplus to requirements which would have been perfect. Just the small issue of 300 odd miles.
this might be a signature
