I bought one of these for 99p plus £15.00 Postage, he has sold another 5 since varying between 99p and £16, has anyone else bought one and fitted it. I was wondering if they are any good as mine was just a cheap spares stock item (cheap if it's any good)

I don't know :roll: , he does one with a different diameter pulley too but i've not measured mine yet.

I wonder if the internals are the same in all the pumps regardless of what type they are? What you may be able to do is swap the internals over on a knackered pump?

Call me cynical, but I'd be wanting a bit more detail on what exactly had been checked and refurbished as well as on specific model fitments.
In the absence of details I'd be inclined to believe that: "Remanufactured: A properly rebuilt automotive part. The item has been completely disassembled, cleaned and examined", actually meant, at best, "I've jet-washed it and given it a coat of paint."

I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

Given that it's described as "power steering pump" and sold for much less than a recon would cost, I'd be inclined to say it's probably not been reconditioned but painted.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
