Can you get the car to Blackpool? Dave Ashworth is a Citroen specialist and very good. He might be able to repair the height corrector and/or any leaking pipes. His tel no is:-01253 696294
Very helpful and knowledgeable. :)

Is it leaking from:

1) the HP Pipe unions
2) the LP return
3) Out of the body from under the black cap

Only (3) means you need to replace the Height Corrector

(1) may only need tightening up the union or replacing the rubber seals.
(2) a replacement bit of rubber pipe.

(2) a replacement bit of rubber pipe.
2) could just require the short rubber conecting pipe cutting back and re/fitting (10min job),

3) it is not actualy the H/C leaking but just the diaphram and possibly the outter dust cover,

both of which can be replaced without replaceing the hole unit,

At a garage you'll be looking at 2hrs labour + height corrector + vat. Oh & likely to have an added extra of 2ltrs of LHM too.

Is this not a job you are able to tackle yourself? Access to the rear one is easier than the front when both side of the rear is up on axle stands.

you realy shouldnt need to replace the hole thing, as the usual thing they suffer with is being cloged up with sediment, this will wash out with petrol very easy,

just out of interest were did you get the kit from and how much was it,

You surprise me Citronut - Are you sure? :?:

I tried to buy the dust cap from several Cit main dealers back in 2003 rather than replace the whole thing, all had no stock on the shelf and were told by Citroen that it was no longer available then and that a height corrector requiring these parts in future would need to be replaced as a complete unit. :?

Can this be the first sign of deleted parts being re-manufactured? \:D/

Already posted on AtB's other thread before I saw this. I've got a few spare height correctors from a 16TRS and a 17TZD.
Can anyone tell me:
a: Are they the same for all BXs?
b: Are they the same front and rear - they look the same.
