wanted: low fan speed resistor

Hi anyone got or know where I can get a low speed resistor for the cooling fan. Part number advice very welcome too!

Depends how it's failed, they can often be repaired, there'll be detailed info on here somewhere, try the search option.

It's transistor controlled rather than dropping the voltage through a resistor. A bit more information here.

Not sure you need one Scooters, as per my text :)

(as in - for the benefit of other people reading - the low speed worked fine on this car when I bridged the connections on the connector block, and the terminals of the switch with connector in place - hence I ruled out the resistor as the cause of low speed being kaput).

if its the heater fan speed control we are talking,

as the rad fan has a big fat metal caned resistor,

:oops: Sorry, please ignore my misunderstanding. Mark appears to have proved the rest of the cooling fan circuit (including the low speed resistor) to be OK, so that just leaves the radiator switch.

Thanks all...cheers for the text mark good news that. I'll get it changed this week.

Took the car to the jet wash today and gave it a jolly good clean. The only dodgey seal is the near side front door which leaked a bit but only undetermined huge pressure.
