Gratuitous New Year Pics

Post by Philip Chidlow »

If you're like me you'll often forget about pics you've uploaded to various sites over the years.

Here are a few I though stood re-issuing :)

The first pic I ever posted on this forum:

ELF in it's heyday (well in my ownership that is ;) )

Still wouldn't mind doing this one day:

Thanks for posting those Phil - enjoyed 'em. Much as I love reading page after page about whose done what with which rusty/oily/new/old/refurbished bit of metal or pipework ( :^o ) you can't beat a bit of gratuitous pic posting IMHO. Here's some of my 'Club cars wot I really like', 'Leboncoin loveliness' and 'miscellaneous BX' - in no particular order. . .

Last but not least a silver 'Ourane' - never knew there was such a thing.

Tim's GT on the ferry en route to the Conservatoire.

And a rare 4x4 in France:

Both of these BXs are no longer on the road :(

An Ourane???

My first 16v BX. It rarely fired on more than three cylinders or indeed ran at under 100 degrees  Rattly and tired. But still faster than the Phase 2 I got later. That's the 19TRS E141WHR behind, which went Ray Fenwick, but someone'll have to remind me... is it elsewhere now?

May just keep it as i cant send it to the crusher as the bodyshell really isnt as bad as the panelwork suggests.
Max is having the engine etc out of the Cream 19TRS so that at least helps another one live on.
Regards Richard.

Max is looking at around a couple of weeks before it goes to the garage for its heart removing then i will try and remove what i can before being squished.
The /\ quotes from THIS thread, (Phil, I see that you even made several posting within the thread)

Those of a GS-disposition look away now.

28th December 2001: After my GSX was 'taken away' from me, it was dumped in the yard and, at the time it was the focus of my attention. I found this pic yesterday, and lo and behold, sitting next to it was what I should have seen as its immediate replacement - but I didn't even notice it! (Instead I bought a Visa GTi)....
