I am a facebooker and joined :)

Car is ready for collection tomorrow morning and it only went in today so will have it back for Sunday, just need to give it a wash and polish (have tried some t-cut on some of the worst parts and it does a bloomimg good job, even after one application, and comes up a treat with some Autoglym deep shine polish on top)

Everyone knows those wheel trims are incorrect for a TGD; perhaps you should move them onto your car (under cover of darkness) to stop her being docked points on the ICCCR concours for non originality?

Picked up a set of TZD 'Z' style wheel trim from Mickey today after going to the DSM Rally. They scrubbed up well and look much more fitting for the car. Will sand back and re-spray at some point but it's made a big difference already.

Cor, just goes to show how much difference wheels and trims make to a car! That looks bloody lovely, those trims just set the whole car off. I like the colour more with those trims too (unless you've polished it since the last photo??). They don't look like they need a re-paint from here, but photo's can be deceptive I suppose!

I put the best ones on the near side there's only one on the offside that could do with a lick of paint and yes it has had a wash, t-cut and polish since the last pics and looks so much better for it :)

Right, I think I've got a starting issue... here's what happened,

**Apologies now for the lack of technical knowledge**

I came to leave work tonight, got in, waited for everything to warm up but came to turn the key and got nothing, all the lights went out and fuel gauge drops like it does but it didn't even attempt to turn over, so took the key out, looked puzzled at it, put it back in and tried again but still nothing, third time lucky it starts at a drop of the hat with a bit of a puff out the back. This isn't the first time it's done this either . . .

The symptoms sound similar to what my mum had with Daisy when she wouldn't start either, the AA man found it to be the trigger wire (according to his road side report), he just cut it off and fitted a new one and it started first time and hasn't missed a beat since.

I would check the trigger wire on mine but I don't know what I'm looking for or where to find it :oops: I'll also check the connections in the multi-plug under the battery over the weekend like this thread suggests :

http://www.bxclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... ger#p46842" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But all these false starts can't be doing my battery any favours and I don't have a voltmeter so I can't check anything #-o

The car has had a different ignition barrel fitted at some point and had the glow plugs done just before I got it. If that's relevant ?

Anyone got any ideas?

(If a Mod wants to move any of this to Technical then feel free)
