Nickleback aren't as bad as when Chris Rea and Dire Straits collaborated. ;)

mds141 wrote:Excellent news Franklin. Shame Nickleback can't actually play at the CXM itself, that would be a cracking way to spend a Saturday evening. How many jars of pickled eggs to I need to bring? :)
That would be quite an attraction Mark and one way to get the sleepy village of Little Horwood rocking...! Good choice with the pickled eggs...

We had two jars last year as is the tradition - Pub Style and Chip Shop Style...
Dollywobbler wrote:I might just make the trek for the Friday night so I can definitely do Bletchley. At the moment, it seems most likely that I'll be in the Bluebird!
Bletchley is proving to be a crowd-puller Ian, we've got 19 "definites" at the moment for the convoy to it and then of course others on the day. And a Bluebird...

Get there for around 7pm Ian on the Friday for the fabulous Fish and Chip Van...

As mentioned a few pages back...
Cooked Buffet Breakfasts are available on Saturday and Sunday Mornings (from 8am to 10am) at the Shoulder of Mutton Pub next to the Rally Site (£4 per head).
For Saturday Evening we have organised a meal to be held at the Shoulder of Mutton Pub. (Menu on other page). The cost for the meal is £15 per head and will be at 7:30pm on Saturday Evening.
...could we have a rough indication of numbers (to help planning again!) of people wishing to have the Breakfasts? Quite a few have already said yes for the Evening Meal which is great, thanks.

No problems if you don't know yet, just to give us a rough indication of numbers... PM or a post below is fine - whichever...

Franklin, put me down for brekkie on Sat & Sun please. I think I've put my name down for the Saturday evening meal as well. Cheers. Mark.

Probably not for breakfast, possibly for the meal, definitely for Bletchley and it might be two of us now...

Will there be access to a Lexia/diagnostic machine there I wonder? And someone who knows how to use it!

Jim Eastment has a Lexia Phil. I'm sure he'll be going. Pug playing up again?

Not really... the Pug is pretty sorted now. (Bloody well should be! The list of things done is quite long lol). It's just that the ABS light stays on more often than not (being an early top-of-the-range SVDT it has ABS, whereas it wasn't generally fitted to other 806s of that era) and it'll need fixing before its MOT in January next year. It would help to know a bit more, like which sensor is acting up, if possible.

Thanks Ian.

Indeed there will almost certainly be a Lexia there - might be worth asking on the FCF...

If i'm there, i'll happily show you what you need to do, or even better, if you bring a big bowl, some petrol, plenty of rags, about 5 litres of lhm, some axle stands (4 required) & a decent jack & some tools, we can do it on the day. As long as it's not pissing it down mind. I should be attending the Stratford meet the week before, we could do it then, or i could talk you through it so that you can do it the following weekend? I can also bring you that K&N thats clogging up my garage :)

If this takes place at CXM Sunday, I would lurve to come and watch the brakes being bled (and have a go at one if I'm allowed, so Mulley can tell me if I do it wrong before I try all by myself on my own car - after having purchased replacement nipples just in case of course ...)

Mick, the filters are quite narrow at the bottom, I wish I'd taken an old toothbrush or similar to clean mine with (they were that filthy) - dunno if anyone has any recommends on that (toothbrush OK or would that be likely to damage the filters?)

I just gave my filters a good soak in petrol and then a blast with a can of compressed air, kinder to the filter gauze than a scrubbing/tooth brush. Also a close supply of plasters and suture kit, for when you incise yourself on the rim of the LHM tank!!
