Ah yes. It does that. Randomly stops working for a bit, then randomly starts working again! Mind you, the TXD did the same the other day. French electrics!

Just remembered when you parked here you locking all the other doors from inside before you got out - always wondered why you did that

received my doors from Kitch yesterday - he was kind enough to bring them most of the way while on a job =D>

As expected with free doors they need a bit of work (rust along the bottom edge and under the rear quarterlights), but they're better than most of the doors on Timex.

Now I have these I'll be repairing and painting them over the winter, fitting them as I go.

Started prep for the NEC yesterday. This is what I started with:

And this is what it looks like after a wash, T-Cut and application of Auto Glym plastic gel to all the plastic and rubber bits.

It looks great Mike, please don't pull the trigger on that gun to your head.

Look forward to seeing it on Thursday :) - amazing progress in a short space of time, no longer shed of the show!

Oh it's still a shed, just a shiny one. It's definitely it's best side there too!

And don't worry, I shan't pull the trigger, with my luck I'd miss and hit the car!

About 4 hours on the outside, plus about 1.5 hours (so far) inside. One thing it has shown up is the different colour of the tailgate - they'd faded to similar shades! Mind you, there's so many shades of blue on it that it doesn't stand out too much

Ah. The tailgate is off a later BX so is actually a different colour - though only slightly!

Bought this lot at the NEC last week - 10m for £25
Image

The old seals are tired, they've lost a lot of their spring and the metal in them is starting to fail
Image

The new seal is at least round in section, but I hope the join at the bottom and the sharp corner at the top will seal OK - guess I'll know tomorrow looking at the forecast [-o<
Image

Unfortunately I didn't buy enough #-o , so replaced the seals for both front doors and the RH rear door, leaving about a foot which I stuffed into the huge gap in the top of the other rear door.

I then turned to the radio - this is radio No.3 (No.2, a Boston kindly donated by Mickytaker hasn't been tried yet)
Image

I wired it in, and the tape player's great, but the radio only works for a couple of minutes after being connected :(
Image

I now have to decide whether to get this fixed, try the Boston, or keep looking

Finally, a pic of my 2 'hydraulic' Citroens together

Good news mate. If it didn't leak after all that rain, you can probably take it to sea!

EDIT - Oops just realised where you live - you probably are already at sea ~titanic~
