Questionable Taste
The donor car I'm going to steal bits off for Stripey is red, and probably has better bumpers. Most of the paintwork that needs sorting is below the bump strip on Stripey, and recently I came across pictures of a Leader edition BX... and the coach stripe is red and silver... and I'm possibly now just making excuses.

I think the BX could look good with a two-tone paint job, just not red and white; it looks like giant false teeth! 
The colour they used for the Leader looks OK but to be honest, just getting it painted white would be your best bet IMHO. Having said that; your car, your rules. Maybe a mental paint job would just add to the legend that is ol' stripy!
