The front end did feel very light, like a 911 with a tiny wheelbase! It actually didn't feel that fast, but the big V6 is really long-legged and is very deceptive, and on a stretch of road I know very well would have left the BX. But, it did leave me a little bit cold... Actually the valver has more drama too it, and you aren't constantly thinking that it wants to kill you

My boss had one of the Phase 2 versions, and he spun it, several times...

I'm certainly in the mood for something a bit silly, but not a Clio V6...

It was driven by someone i know quite well, and he is a considerably better driver than I, and knows the road a lot better than I do, so i imagine that has a lot to do with it. It sounds excellent as it goes blasting past too. But he got rid of it in the end as it's just so impractical, even for the very few days a year he took it out. Think he has an Mk1 Focus ST now, not as quick, not as much fun, but has a boot and twice the fuel economy.

I suppose I should really update this!

Some quick points:

- Sold the 205 Mi16 on eBay, and currently in the process of being messed about by the buyer (Fun!)
- Sold the Grey 16v to Kitch (see thread here)
- Bought a Black Phase 2 16v in need of some work - but it's a real corker. More to follow on this later...

And that's about it!

Here's a good update: It's sat in the garage while I wait for the weather to warm up so I can get the side skirts off intact and weld up the huge holes in the rear wheel arches

I wondered who 'rob_bx16v' was

:)

I used to be on Evo a bit, I'm an old friend of Ben__B. I've recently rejoined because I'm hoping Flewy might be able to help me cover the sunroof hole on my 16v.

Joggle it, weld it, jobbed.

Though to do a propa' job you'll need to replace the missing roof support from a scrapper.

If you wanted to bodge a little, joggle it, sikaflex it, rivet it.

If you want to bodge a lot, just rivet a panel on top and hope for the best!

Oh and the roof off another (hole less) BX will give you the right shape too.

I know that's the route I should be taking, but I haven't welded before and though I do intend to have a go, I'm going to do it on the Landrover first - I'm sure that if I have my first attempt at it on a BX roof I will warp it horribly.

I'm waiting on Flewy to give me an estimate, otherwise it will be ally and rivets with some underside bracing of some sort.

Although a large panel, if you tack it up slowly, and maybe use a heat soak of some sort, i suspect it could be done without any warping, And if your jogging it, you would only really need to spot it in place every few inches and fill the gaps later.
