The aubergine will look cracking with the speedlines on , get a couple or three coats of wheel sealant on them before you fit them to give them some protection , can't wait to see it at a show soon .

Excellent! I'll have to see when my car's birthday is too - maybe celebrate by actually doing some work on it

Not much to report on the BX front, had a small issue with the front right brake binding but thats all sorted now. Been thinking long and hard about what to do about the paint work on the car and decided that Im going to get it smartened up. Im not sure whether to start with getting the tops of the windscreens done and work down or start with bumpers, front wings and bonnet and work backwards. Ive been building a stack of parts to be fitted once the paint work does it justice. My stash now includes new TZD c-pillar stickers, new yellow fogs, new bumper inserts, alloys still waiting for some rubber and mud flaps which i haven't looked at how to fit yet. Plus there is a full lock/ignition set, new in box waiting to go in once the doors are sorted. Next part on the shopping list is a front bumper as mine has a crack in it and both corners are scuffed. Anyway, heres a couple of picture of the goods so far....

Check you out! fiting the estate rear flaps are a bit of a faff and you may need to use new brackets.

Alloys went on today and I'm over the moon with how good they look :D

The center caps still need matching in and the cars not in low for that 'slammed' look that seem to be all the rage. . . but all in good time
The visual difference between 165s and 195s is surprising, wouldn't want to go wider than 195's as they seem very close to the arches.

Front splitters looking a bit untidy so might get that off and give it some satin black

Mmmm I like! 8) I'd try some black trim wax on the splitter before you put any paint on it Andrew. It's horrible filthy stuff but works like boot polish to get black trim really black again.
