Re: The Aubergine
Do it. You can sit around in a field and talk cars etc into the early hours, whilst having a few drinks round a barbecue. Could life get any better? I may put a tent up, but I'll more than likely kip in the car as usual.TizzyD wrote:I'm ummin and arrin about coming up Saturday and sleeping in the car/tent

Re: The Aubergine
While I prefer the comfort and civilisation of a caravan to a crappy old tent anyday, I can confirm that Mark does infact snore. Actually, it wasn't the snoring that really bothered me but the silences in between that drove me absolutely f***ing bananas!mat_fenwick wrote:Not if you're bloody snoring away above me!

Re: The Aubergine
After seeing Paul emerging from the caravan's bathroom wearing his negligee and face mask, I'm surprised I managed to sleep at all!!

That looks stunning Andrew! The wheels really suit the colour (which is gorgeous anyway) and look lovely in themselves. You're making me want speedlines and a splitter now though...

Re: The Aubergine
Got round to changing the stop solenoid today, there is a lot more travel on the plunger on the new one than there is old one.
New and old
And fitted
Nice easy job apart from loosing a few pence worth of diesel onto the drive after starting the car and finding out I hadn't tightened it up enough but I now have a car that stops when asked so I'm happy

Re: The Aubergine
Not much to report on the car front at the moment, filled up before going to the tech weekend and got 50.1mpg out the last tank but still had a fair bit left in her.
Took the plunge and bought some speakers, I went for some Alpine SPG 13CS, as you can see, the one I took out of the passenger side is buggered
One thing I didn't take into account was the depth of the new speakers and they are pretty chunky, they fit, but I'm going to have to jiggle some of the push connectors in the drivers side door card to make a bit more room.
What I've decided to do is remove the original yellow push connectors from the old speakers and solder them to the new set so that when I come to re-fitting them it should make the job a lot easier.
I've also started painting the centre caps for my alloys this evening.
Will give them a couple of more coats before lacquering them.
