Re: Mk1 1.7RD on retro-rides for £250, Berkshire (SORN)
We were discussing this at the show last weekend - Chris needs to shift some cars round before he has space for another, which is why he hasn't bought it yet. I think he left it much as Andy did - if no one else has it...

Looks remarkably sound. Set of trims and a headlamp would make a huge difference.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Maybe not Richard but it would aesthetically make it look a lot more attractive!

I doubt it needs trims for an MOT, and I'll contribute a headlamp to the cause (if mk1s and 2s have the same headlamps that is!)

Headlamps are the same on all models, I know it doesn't need trims for an MOT but selling wise the more complete a car is the better it will sell!

I know just what you mean - I really don't need another car of any type, particulartly one so far away, but it's tempting! No, i must not be tempted!!

Only 40 odd miles from me but absolutely no space and I can't convince the parents we need a mk1 project

Its such a shame this could be (read: is) such a project as I really like the look of this car. But I could see it costing many hundreds to bring it back to the road again, plus many hours work :-<

Dont think i will be bidding on her as ive enough problems getting Mollie to run again, dont need any more similar problems. As a donor motor, now thats a thought?
