Mike P: The first one I used was an Intermotor cheapy shitty thing.....won't be using that again.

The second one was a Beru setup I got from work, looks much more solid and the metal terminals and much thicker.

Ian: If they use the same as the 16v, I have loads of known working ones. Shame I don't live closer to you.....I got quite good at sorting out bad running. My 16v used to cut out everytime I came to a junction, then everytime it was cold, then everytime you tried to start it, then everytime there was a weekend in the month.

Got it all sorted now though, its just persistance!

What were the causes of your issues?

I think the 16v ones are different. Got a picture of one i could look at?

Air flow meter mixture setting

TPS

CAS

Idle valve

And then all the plugs....had to go over all the pins one by one to make them fit tightly!

Its a process of elimination.

Believe me! I had your problem & it got worse. Cleaning & testing on the custom machine will give you a tickover with a rock-steady needle on your rev counter. ( I was present in the workshop for the service of my injectors, that's why I am sure, seeing the before, during & after on the test never mind the absolute benefits when reinstalled on the car!)

Do you have a list of the part numbers then for my car??? Or even a supplier with reasonable prices, i'm prepared to chuck money at it to get it right!

I'm not aware mine even has a CAS, its the model with the earlier style Jetronic injection.

Want to flog some injectors???

Lol.....I have a list of every single part number for every single part for your car lol.

Not sure about the CAS on yours? If its Jetronic then I take most of that back.

Hows the FPR?

I've never messed about with injectors, whats involved in taking them out?I'm on afternoons,am trying to get my car sorted for the MOT and doing CCC stuff so I haven't much spare time on my hands. If it's pretty quick and simple, they will be in my boot for Sunday :D

Yes, they're quick and easy to get off.

Once the 2 petrol pipes are removed from the injector rail and the couple of bolts are removed off the rail its just a case of tugging them out of the block.

They're quite tight in there so they just require a bit of wiggling around.

Would be great if you could get the rail with fuel pressure reg and injectors to me. You will be suitably rewarded for your efforts!
