Well back to the daily grind! Came home to find the front garden lovely and clear and stinking of garlic! Seems my folks bless um came down to water the plants and cleared about 5 lots of feline presents and put down some garlic paste which apparently keeps them away (and has so far).

GT is now washed, de-bugged and put away in the garage and the 800 is booted out (but will soon be for sale anyay), a few stone chips to touch up, and I need to mend the cubby hole flaps (one broke) and the osf caliper has a sticking hand brake problem, overall she drove fabulously, soft smooth, quick and averaged about 40mpg, the sunrooofs leaking so I assume its the drain holes plus theres a few rattles from the same area....as it only tilts and doesnt slide I really must get the headlining down and swop it over for the spare one I bought years ago from RXBX...

Thoughts on the Ecosse challenge? Apart from the consitant rain overall I enjoyed the time away from work and being with my mates and the scenary was breath-taking!. Some people are happy to "wing it" and go with the flow when it comes to where to stay, which isnt me, so I found the accomodation issues a bit of a worry and did I admit get very frustrated, I disliked the youth hostel (but thanks to Anne Marie for getting us out of a spot) purely down to the reason I have real issues sleeping with anyone else near me, prefer my own space (having lived alone for 8 years) and much preferred my little tent to myself even with the rain and slept much better the next day even with Mike's snoring!.

I shall be giving the 2014 Foreign excursions a miss as ive got a lot on that year and need to divert funds to other things but look forward to the 2015 which gives me plenty of time to arrange hotels etc....

This Friday I am off to Coventry to Citroen UK to a BBQ event in the GT to meet up with fellow CCC members, it will be interesting to see what the bods from Citroen make of the BX, I dount many remember it but I will make its presence and importance of Citroens surivival known of course....

Then a few more weeks to the National Rally which I am organising so need volunteers on the gate please...

I'm with you on the tent, I much prefer my own space in my pop up tent rather than share as I sleep very well in my tent on my fishermans carp bed which is fantastically comfy. The quechau double skin pop up tents are an absolute revolution and really do what they say on the tin, Pop up in 2 seconds, 4 tent pegs and done, taking down just slightly longer.

My tents a small (2 man if you know each other well) Regatta single skin pop up, which is fine for summer use and held most of the rain off, alright for £20 and lilke you say is up in 2 seconds flat, took a bit longer to get down but have that mastered now.

May invest in a bigger twin skinned one next year is I can persuade M campings the way forward...
