Pashley either make their own wheels or get them made specially as some of their bikes need special section rims - they are one of the last manufacturers of rod brake equipped bikes in Europe.

Don't know much about Pashley, but I used to have a Raleigh Chopper. Loved that bike. :)

You can still get Chopper projects for around £100, but good ones can fetch anything up to £1500 depending on the model. Even the modern Mk3's are beginning to go up in price.

They don't seem to command the same values, presumably because they can't be ridden by most people, but they do seem to fetch more than similar size bikes of the period.

I have an RSW Compact in the collection, which was a demonstration that the cycle industry had pioneered the same engineering skill as British Leyland did in later years - They are the only folding bike ever built that takes up more space when folded!

Damn and blast. So who is going to buy them then? I will have a front lip if you do. I wonder how much it would cost to package up a whole BX and ship it?

Mickey/(Sugg's), I still own two Raleigh RSW 16's one's a Metallic Green MK1 and the other one is a Chocolate-Brown MK2 !

In-fact I actually used the MK1 for a couple of weeks last year/summer (What Summer :? ) for local trips just to get around whilst both my vehicles were out of action as a stop gap !

So where ever I rode/stopped youngsters asked what the hell it was and even folks on buses were pointing at me to alert the person next to them scratch...

That's what old/cult items do when you bring them out of hiding !

Just like a ^^bx> I suppose ?
