Agreed Ian, ive driven down to Kent today in the st Tropez, very much not a motorway car, but loves sitting at 70-80 mph and has plenty in reserve even at those speeds. Gets a little too revvy above 80 though to br honest.

Hello Chaps, I'll be doing the cosmetic side of things. Here is the first picture of the clean-up, but by the end of the day there should be a few more! 8)

Excellent, I find a pan scrubber (fabric type) very useful on those bumpers, or alloy wheel cleaner on the bits you cant reach.

Me too, it took some cutting back to get it as shiny so hopefully if its not too far gone a good t cut and polish will have it shining again.

The seats may need the bases out to steam them.

Its not 'that' far gone Tim, I may have been lax, but not that lax :)

As for the seat bases, well the seats are getting a bit tired all round im afraid, the cheaper material does not wear well if the car is used as a daily (which it was for two odd years) and they are not as comfy as the properly adjustable BX seats in better models, so the question is, originality or comfort?

Charlotte is doing a very good job on bringing her back to gleaming white, so good in fact i felt it neccessary to fix the heater blower and treat it to a new wiper blade. Next job a pair of new rear tyres to match the new front ones.

Excellent, glad shes in good hands. It was at deaths door in 2009 so 4 years later shes still going strong is reassuring.

As the "Tropez" has a black dash and grey inserts in the door panels a set of TZD Turbo spec seats would sit nicely in them if you do replace the original (which are bespoke to the model though so a shame to loose them).

Assuming the bases aren't handed (like the higher spec seats) you could always swap them around so that the most worn edge is in the centre of the car. That would extend their life a bit.

We have a nice dry loft, so if they did get taken out and a TZD interior put in, they could be stored safely, as I'm a bit funny about originality (except in A series!). TZD seats would definitely help my back...

I expect the best thing to do is ask Remy if he has any decent front seats squirreled away, as i dont facny breaking a whole car just for the seats. Space issue if nothing else.

These are minor details, it's taking me to work and back and won't be motorwaying for the foreseeable, so I'm happy :-)

Hmmmm, depending what Charlotte thinks to that we may take you up on them Tim (im sure some monies could change hands also) maybe a trip up to Derby to get that towbar may also incorporate buying some seats ?

No worries, I was asking for £50 (what I paid about 5 years ago from wolsey house motors) for it but as theres no headrests £40 would be fine.

The rear seats is a split fold.
