Heater valve (still) wanted for good money !!

Post by kbami8txd »

Desperately need a new heater valve (1.9 D- 1992) - good money paid ! please PM me asap if you have one or know of one :D Here's hoping !!! (more hens' teeth ???)

++++++++++ the heater (hot /cold) wheel is now stiff and won't go to cold - is this more likely to be the hear control than the valve ???
I also need a heater valve part number please

They can be rebuilt - Vanny & Jay have done so:

the plastic tubing has cracked .
By the way -
1./ does anyone have a part number for the heater valve please ?
and
2./ is it more likely to be the heater switch - cos the heat wheel /switch is really stiff ?
thanks

I've sent my brother a message he has a White 19TRS estate being broken for spares (head gasket a few years back) I asked him to sign up to here to list whats left. The heater valve was there and working well I remember we had to swap it for the working one on it.

He maybe able to make the controls availabe too.

If its stuck on hot, possibly the garage didnt connect up the controlling rods correctly and your new unit could be ok.
I suspect thats your problem.

I'm confused - are the plastic pipes cracked on your new one or old one? If your new one is intact but simply stiff, it may have the control rods incorrectly fitted or adjusted, or may be silted up like the one shown in my link. Either way, might be wise not to bin it even if you do get a replacement. And don't force it otherwise you may break the ceramic slider!
