It's actually really good around town. I got near 48mpg urban, but the gearing is pretty short so on the motorway it's not so great

It sang along tonight at 70 quite merrily, I sm surprised how well it pulls for its age and miles, the tracking is hilarious and wanders all over the place, another job to to add to the list, brakes are good though and I think Ive mastered the gears (reverse asides)

I find there's nothing like a brand new Citroen Car Club sticker to transform the handling of an old and tired car! - got any pictures (of the car not the stickers :D )?

The tracking issue is the wishbone bushes on the offside.....fitte new ones, but they were NOS and a pretty bad fit! Got it through an MOT but was planning to buy a set of arms of Malcolm Lockwood.

It pulled 75bhp on the dyno don't forget

Strange that, mine did the near side first (wishbone bushes) a result of lots of shitty country roads with loads of potholes + old age. Try letting the steering wheel go at about 10mph - that is where it really shows up!

NEAT have the bushes OK if the arm(s) is salvagable.

Progress on the Estate is slow as the parts get collected, a drivers door and bonnet have been sourced, it looks like I may have to get some other wings and have them painted to match.

Tim, i think you should drive our green estate. 166 k miles and well, it will do an indicated 100mph, on a private stretcg of runway obviously. And return an average of 45mpg at the same time.

Timex will get to about 98mph indicated (god knows what that means in real life!) but the fuel consumption does suffer a bit above an indicated 80.

Having some starting issues(now the brakes are ok) which I think is down to the carb, I'll get it in the gas tester in the new year as I think it's running too rich.

Estate interiors nearly all in, except the whoever fitted the passenger seat looks to have done the bolts up with a torque wrench as one just won't come undone!!

75 is About my limit now.
