The frenchquarter at the nationals (23-25th may 2014)

We at the nationals would like to invite you and your club to Peterborough showground on the 23-25th may 2014 to our brand new area the French quarter!
Get together with your club and friends in your own dedicated area the frenchquarter at the nationals.

The French quarter will be within the showground in a position where you can show your car for one or both days. Ideal if you buy a day ticket and you can’t stay all day or if you want to come for the weekend and don’t want to enter the show car competition or Top 50.
Unlike other areas ( club stands, Top 50) there is no restriction on vehicle movement so those that arrive on a day ticket after 9am can still show their car and if they want to leave at 3pm they can do.
You can arrive in the Show & Shine area at any time and leave when you choose as there are no vehicle movement restrictions in this area.

You can also venture out of the French quarter and visit 1000 of other showcars in the mixed clubs, vag, jappower, the top50 or see our custom and hot rod show! in the barn with live bands!, theres also the large trade area inside and outside the hall,top25 in the hall and the live display area (tba).

But when the days over this show carries on into the night! With 3 rooms over 2 nights plus the adrenalin Funfair with Dodgems – (Always a firm Favorite), night market, Bars & Food, there is something for everyone at this year’s event.

This looks great to me - but he doesn't say how much it is (presumably I can find out when I follow the links). Well, we've got a carpet - what're we waiting for? 8)

edit - got it - £37 for the weekend, £15 for the day, at least five need to book for the weekend to get a club stand. Anyone up for it? I might be.

Is this the Banger Racing Circuit? If so beware of Jeremy Clarkson as secret organiser and low flying pianos!

Its all happening in Peterborough next year. Peterborough, eer...., Gateway to the Fens? I just wonder if many places gifted with natural beauty have not priced themselves out of the market. Top marks to those places who recognise the chance to nip in a steal the trade.

Having looked at the website it does not like my sort of thing at all. Far to shiny. But I have my old git status to maintain.

Castle Combe have just sent me stuff on their track days. Club stand of up to 10 get in free, passingers must pay in some form. Lapping not included. Might be of interest to some folks in the West Country. Not sure how to forward, but if interest, I can make the attempt. Long time since I have been there. Used to be quite a good day out.

I for one wouldn't have a problem, and I think most of us on here also appreciate other French tin.

I know there is an Autoshite meet in Wales in May, which I'm planning to go to but not sure of the dates for that yet.

This sounds good, as does a possible do at Castle Combe. I grew up within 20 miles of the latter, and used to go along to watch the racing as a kid. Used to go to the steam fair years ago and they'd let me ride a bicycle round the track - something they wouldn't let motor vehicles do that particular weekend. I rode one of the trade bikes round the track last summer at their forst cycle festival, and were surprised to find they'd added a couple of wiggly bits! Also the home of Merlin Motorsport, who I've found very helpful sourcing silicone hoses and components for odd projects.

Yes the Castle Combe steam rally is very good we went this year as it is not far from where we live, also another one which has a real village feel about it, is the Chippenham classic and cherished car show in june not far from Castle Combe, going around for the first time this year I did not see a Citroen BX, so i will put mine in next year there has got to be at least one to fly the flag,
