Thanks for that Tim, I will look for a long nose one, going by what I have read that would be best,
I appreciate your help.

Stephen
Why do you want a plastic long nose when your metal one does zakly the same job and dosnt need respraying if you find one of the same colour? Surely it isnt that difficult to lift the bonnet? I find this very strange as surely you would want to keep the motor as original as possible? It wasnt made with a plastic jobbie so why change it? It wont go any faster[well, not noticeably] so why go to all that bother unless the original bonnet is rusted through. If it is, then go for another metal one.

Andy
It's because I believe that all of them should have had a plastic bonnets, this is because French are nowhere near as organize as the Japanese in sorting out their suppliers. If it was manufactured by a truly Japanese company like Honda and it was meant to have a plastic bonnet every single car in the world would have one regardless of where it was manufactured, when it comes to style the French cannot be beaten, but when it comes to manufacturing they leave a lot to be desired.

Just found something out to confuse the bonnet issue - we already know that some early and late cars both have steel instead of plastic bonnets from the factory, but I just discovered that steel pattern bonnets are also available!

Me I'm not confused, I just feel so sad :( , looking at all those lovely BX's with plastic bonnets in the Republic of Ireland, I could have a different colored one for every day of the week , :lol:

Hi Tim, Would you be able to look for some bits off my wanted list;
-Right front wing in silver.
-2x 5.5j alloy wheels in silver.
-Full A/C System.
-Rubber trim off RH rear side of front bumper, the little one.
The only problems would be how much & how to get them to me...

You can probably get all those parts, your best off finding time to come down though as there larger parts than I can post up/store.

. . . and £150 for the Dyane (or rather for the lumps of rusty metal and scraps of rotten fabric that used to be a Citroen Dyane). :(

Tim, if you are in contact again with this guy would you be able to see if the driver's door on the Mk. 1 is in good condition and available, please. I. Assume it's in Sunrise red not Venetian, being a Mk. 1?

Obviously, if Mothman doesn't take the whole car that is.
